You have been working as the Resort Manager of Kupu Kupu Jimbaran for quite a while now. Could you tell us of what your resort could be doing to improve the guest’s loyalty?
We are building new Suites; enlarge our Bamboo Spa and planning enhancements to our Jimbaran Beach Club in order to serve our clients even better in the near future.
What is the main difference between working in Bali and Belgium? Share with us one of your most memorable ‘culture-shock’-related experience.
People in Bali are so friendly and attentive; they are born to work in Hospitality.
Nyepi Day, Balinese New Year. You cannot go out for 24 hours. Many clients are unaware of this tradition and are sometimes shocked about the fact they have to stay in the Hotel for 2 nights and 1 full day.
How would you describe your brand in one sentence?
Kupu Kupu is a Luxury Brand that offers the best available service at affordable rates.
What is the most challenging thing you have experienced so far? And what would you do to maintain your brand to stand out among other competitors?
Every day is different and there are so many challenging moments and situations. It makes me happy and proud to see the staff doing their utmost to provide everlasting moments to our clients. We want our clients to feel at home and be part of the Kupu Kupu Family.
What love means to you?
Unconditional dedication and happiness.
Who has inspired you the most in life (and the reason why)?
My Father showed me that it is possible to achieve your goals by working hard and through loyalty.
What do you do in your free time?
I have 2 young children (1 & 3 Years).
Free time means family time. They make me smile and give me strength.
Name us one of the dream destinations, anywhere in the world that you haven’t had the chance to visit so far.
I would love to visit Raja Ampat in Papua. Indonesia has so many beautiful treasures and I would love to visit as many as possible.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In Bali, bringing my 2 girls to School every morning.
