As the Director of Sales & Marketing, Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort, how do you compete with other established properties?
Firstly, I have to build a foundation of a successful organization, which is building a strong and reliable team, and to develop each of their talents. I believe the key success of being a leader is to have a solid teamwork and getting support from the team. Secondly, we need to build a strong market positioning for the hotel and be creative in finding solutions for any challenges, focusing on generating revenue in any possible opportunities and to always try to stay ahead of the competition.
What do you enjoy most about working in the hospitality industry?
Being in a dynamic environment, meeting & serving different people every day (our guests), and the fact that we have to constantly be creative in whatever we do to strive into a better result. It’s never boring.

What’s your most memorable moment in your career?
When I was honored by Marriott International to achieve the award as Sales Leader of The Year amongst 1,100+ Courtyard properties in the world. Being able to represent my team as the one and only Indonesian winner during the conference that was attended by 5000+ people around the world.

If you had to live without Internet for a week, what would you do to keep yourself busy?
Oh, plenty of things to do! I would spend my time cooking my family’s favorite food and be a real housewife for a week!
What do you do for fun during your day off?
Spending quality time with my two children
