BATIK FESTIVAL 2017 @ AYODYA RESORT BALI

Friday – Sunday, October 6th – 8th 2017

Celebrating the rich legacy of Batik, the Ayodya Resort Bali at Nusa Dua is hosting the Ayodya Batik Festival 2017 from October 6th to 8th, 2017 in the Resort’s Grand Ballroom.  The 3-day event will focus on the finest batiks produced in Solo (Central Java) Yogyakarta, and Bali. Batik – the intricate process of repeated application of wax to cloth over a multiple-dyeing process, earliest antecedents can be found in 4th century BC Egypt. Today, the modern successors of this ancient tradition can be found in beautiful and elaborate hand-dyed batik cloths produced in Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Indonesia. On the span of three consecutive days, Batik Festival at Ayodya Resort Bali will be divided into several fascinating activities; including workshops, fashion show, buffet dinner and gala dinner featuring some of Indonesia’s famous fashion designers and communities.
