There are several places of interest you can explore in Flores, first is the Komodo Island. This island is located at east of Sumbawa, separated by Sape Strait, and also the native habitat of Komodo dragons, a wondrous animal in the brink of extinction. Flights available every day with the route of Bali – Labuan Bajo Airport or the straight from Bali to Komodo island, each requires approximately 1,5 hours of flight.

There is a beach with pink sand at Komodo, which can be reached by boat from Loh Liang on Komodo Island, which only takes 30 minutes trip. While on the boat, enjoy the warm greetings from the dolphins. These majestic creatures are very fond to human and not a rare sight on the island’s vicinity. If you’re lucky, green turtle and even whale could appear sometime, providing a mesmerizing sight. The pink beach is formed by the mixture of white sand and red coral fragments that are washed to the shore, creating a romantic bliss of nature you rarely found anywhere else.

In addition, the coral reef around the island is so amazing. Inhabited by vast variety of colourful fishes, like butterfly fish, and clown fish. There are a 1,000 fish species, 260 species of coral reefs, and 70 species of sponge inhabiting the ocean area. The pink beach area is a pristine site, mindfully preserved to maintain its original beauty.
