GLOBAL DAY OF DISCOVERY AT RENAISSANCE BALI ULUWATU RESORT & SPA

Rooted in discovery and the spirit of the neighborhood, Renaissance Hotels – part of Marriott Bonvoy’s extraordinary portfolio of 30 hotel brands – announced that it will celebrate its annual Global Day of Discovery on May 18, 2023. A day when all 170+ Renaissance properties around the world, together as a collective drumbeat, put on elevated experiences – underscoring how the brand delivers unexpected discoveries beyond the convention of travel – and Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa is here to help celebrate.

To celebrate Global Day of Discovery’s 9th anniversary, Renaissance Hotels is featuring unscripted adventures that place the brand’s revamped Evenings at Renaissance program in the spotlight. With the hotel and travel industry back in full swing, guests traveling both for business and leisure are looking for authentic local experiences.

Guests of Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa will celebrate local traditions and shine a light on social impact and ecotourism, near and dear to the property’s surrounding area. Hosted by models and ecotourism advocates Veronika Krasnasari and Valerie Krasnadewi, the three-day celebration starting from May 17 until May 19 will take the guests on immersive and holistic experiences.

On May 17, guests are invited to delve into the rich history and culture of Endek – a Balinese indigenous textile with Agung Indra from Tenun Agung Bali, followed by a punchbowl ritual showcasing the flavors of Bali hosted by Indonesian bar ‘rock star’ Kiki Moka and Yoga Tommy, while enjoying a Balinese ethnic fashion show by Indonesian designer Dwi Iskandar and performance from local talent DJ Triss for an elevated evening experience.
On May 18, guests are invited to an engaging tour to Pandawa Beach to discover local community’s effort in protecting their ocean and join coral planting activity, followed by a fun trip to the nearby ZeroWaste Center to learn about reforestation, marine life, and more. In the evening, guests are invited to discover cocktails inspired by Indonesian traditional drinks by Head Mixologist Yoga Tommy, and a 12-course Balinese dinner by Wisnu Adiyatma with 12 local wine pairings and a special performance by Gus Teja, a Balinese Flute Maestro.
On the final day May 19, guests are taken to a guided trip on e-bikes by UNIKAT E-Bike through the neighborhood to discover Uluwatu’s hidden gems, stunning beaches, and a local temple perched on the edge of the cliff. Renaissance Bali Uluwatu’s signature breakfast and the brand new Revitalizer will be served when the guests are back.
