HOTEL NIKKO BALI BENOA BEACH TO HOST PROJECT SAKURA 60 EVENT

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Japan and Indonesia, Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach is proud to announce its participation to support the programs organized by Project Sakura 60 of Yayasan Persahabatan Jepang Bali (Japan Bali Friendship Foundation).

Scheduled to take place at the hotel on June 10th, 2018, Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach will host two programs that will showcase the Japanese traditions and culture with a friendly sumo game and the traditional tea ceremony.

“Being a Japanese brand, Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach is proud to play its part in supporting Project Sakura 60’s program and showcase the Japanese culture,” said Jean-Charles Le Coz, General Manager of Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach, “This fits into our mission, to bring a harmonious blend of cultures and traditions of both Bali and Japan to our guests.”

The program will start with a traditional Japanese tea ceremony that will take place at Samudera Lounge by one of the renowned tea masters, Shusaku Yasumaru. Afterward, the friendly sumo game will take place at the beach in front of the hotel – performed by a sumo training houses or heya that will exclusively come to Bali for the program. This will be the first time professional sumo fighters to display their skills in Bali.
