Chinese New Celebrations

Chinese New Year celebrations at InterContinental Bali Resort will be held on 13th – 15th February 2018 at 7pm at the Main Pool Deck, when you will have the opportunity to launch a Flying Lantern as a symbol of good luck. The Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner will take place from 7pm onwards in Jimbaran Gardens featuring dishes that are believed to bring health, wealth and happiness for the coming 12 months including crab and corn scallion egg drop soup, chilli-marinated Chinese cabbage salad, century eggs and lapcion sausage’ plus a wide selection of delicious hot dishes, and a live station presenting fresh egg noodles and kway teow – representative of long life – together with Jimbaran seafood, sliced chicken, beef, pork and a selection of condiments. Hot dishes include ‘steamed red snapper with oyster mushroom sauce’ – the fish is representative of togetherness and abundance – as well as ‘honey and sesame ginger chicken’, symbolising prosperity and completeness. Assorted dim sum include wongko, gyozza and siomay complemented by condiments such as sweet chilli, chilli sauce, Hoi sin sauce and plum sauce. Guests at the Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner will be entertained by a performance of the Chinese Lion Dance incorporating the acrobatic martial art movements of Wushu.
The Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner is priced at IDR 550,000 ++ per person. The event is complimentary for children under seven years of age when dining with their parents.
