INTERVIEW WITH REZA SUNARDI, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER WOLF SYNDICATE HOTEL BRAND CONCEPT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER LA BOULANGERIE PARISIENNE

Could you please tell us a little bit about yourself?

What made you quit your job as a GM and decided to become an entrepreneur?

Being a GM at Padma Group was my greatest job, the owners and the management team were like great family. The reason I left because I wanted to pursue my dreams learning to be an entrepreneurship.

Tell us about your new business?

Currently I opened two restaurants, La Boulangerie Parisienne and The Seuhah Sundanese Bistro, what I expect from people who come to my outlets is to feel deep authentic food and genuine services.

Within the next one month, I also will open another two restaurants, Manhattan style CHOP Steakhouse and The Seuhah Coffee House.

I am also an Alpha CEO in Wolf Syndicate Hotel Brand Concept. I have assisted the owner to open SAMSARA Luxurious Resort Ubud, collaborate with the owner of six Amaroossas in Branding and Marketing, together with the Regent of Badung Bali and its Head of Tourism Office we create Badung Logo and do branding activation.

Recently together with another STP NHI alumni, I built Hotel General Manager School, HELIC – Hotel Executive Learning Center and created distinguish certification program: CHM – Certified Hotel Manager.

What or who has inspired you?

My father and my mother, they taught to be a tough and simple guy, my father is my truly hero and my mother is an Angle.

Pak Tjipjanto Soerjanto the Managing Director of Padma Group is always my idol, he is my role model.

Share with us the most memorable moment that has ever happened during your career

My most memorable moment was when Pak Tjipjanto sent me to CORNELL University New York, USA for joining General Manager Program, and then in a couple months he appointed me to become General Manager in his new magnifique Hotel – Padma Resort Ubud.

If you could pick one place to be your dream destination anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

My next dream destination is to Japan; it is because my boys and my wife really want to go there. I already went to my favourite places like New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Muenchen, Montreux, Lucerne and Zurich.

Describe yourself in 3 words.

I am a corelic sanguine person, very competitive, straight foreword, diamond maker, and savvy visionna.

What is your biggest weakness?

My weaknesses are: over confident and over optimistic person.

What do you do for fun during your day off?

I am enjoying my day off by reading the book, see the movie and the most beautiful thing is to talk and have fun with my lovely wife, Maya and my two handsome savvy boys, Zidane and Sultan.
