As the General Manager of Ossotel Hotel in Legian, Bali could you share some distinctive features of the property that makes your brand stand out from the others?

OSSOTEL Hotel in Legian is organic in its conception and operation, stylish but not pretentious. We are modern, like simple pleasures and the design that works. The modern tropical design fuses simplicity and functionality, from the architecture to our tailored service showcasing a new breed of Balinese hospitality amongst Bali modern hotels.

What is the most memorable achievement in your career at hospitality industry?

My first job back in my early days was as a Receptionist. Then I learned so much from the experiences; customers, colleagues and bosses. When I realized my talent being a people person, I learned Sales and Marketing, which end up becoming the General Manager. The most memorable achievement is to bring customers and make them keep returning.

How would you define ‘leadership’ and what do you think is the most important quality to have to be one?

To me Leadership is the ability to attain objectives by working with and through people. And the most important quality to have is be able to influence and motivate people to be success.

If you could pick one place anywhere in the world to be your dream destination, where would it be?

Rome -Italy

What’s your favourite indoor/outdoor activity (explain a bit the reason why)?

My favourite indoor activity: reading book or playing guitar really reduces the stress. For outdoor activity: jogging by the beach to keep my body fit and refreshed.

What do you do for fun during your day off?

Going to the beach with family or picnic to the countryside for a different ambiance.

What book has influenced you the most?

The Flip Side by Flip Flippen and one book titled “Lepas dari belenggu perilaku yang menghambat kesuksesan”.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Hospitality industry is my passion now. I could be retired from the hotel in five years time but I will still be doing activities that are related to services, perhaps with my own business.
