Taking place at Courtyard by Marriott Bali Nusa Dua Resort, Marriott International donates AUS 5,366 or IDR 56,031,255 to Bali Children foundation as the result of fund raising through Virtual Run to Give 2021 event.

Virtual Run to Give was a national movement focused on a goal that is collective, not individual. Participants were encouraged to run, bike, swim or walk solo or in a team. ‘Run to Give’ has become an integral part of the company’s tradition in cultivating a people-first environment that promotes associate wellbeing and drives its people to care for the communities where they do business. This month-long fundraiser was held from October 1st to 31st, 2020.

This year Marriott International successfully did 49 events all over Indonesia, the events are very diversified, ranging from fun run, forest run, body work out, trekking, cycling, even mountain climb – in Rinjani (Lombok) and managed manage to collect over IDR 700 million both online and through sponsorship from our partners. In Bali itself, there were 4 events in total, one for every week of the month. Kick- off with GM activation, where all Marriott properties GM took part in 24 hour run around Nusa Dua BTDC area. The following week was a run & cycle relay involving all 21 Marriott properties in Bali. It was a huge success even though the event started with a drizzle in Ubud, it did not dampen the spirit of the participants. The event started from sunrise in Mandapa A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud and finish at sunset at Renaissance Uluwatu.

Last year’s funds were used to provide basic food supplies for associates with reduced or no pay, Marriott International distributed over 10 thousand Bersama boxes in 2020 and hope to provide the same support this year.
