MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL’S ‘ROAD TO GIVE BALI 2023’ RETURNS THIS OCTOBER WITH A JOURNEY OF GENEROSITY AND IMPACT
Marriott International in Bali is proud to announce that its annual “Road To Give” charity run will make its return on Saturday, 21 October 2023 from 6 AM onwards. This highly anticipated charity event is organized by Marriott Business Council Bali and will be held at Peninsula ITDC, Nusa Dua, Bali. All associates, guests, and running communities are invited to join the event as an effort to support those in need.
This charity event is one of the key events under the company’s ‘TakeCare’ movement, which aims to encourage Marriott International’s associates to move in different ways to support charitable organizations in the local communities and other associates in need. “Road To Give” rides on the launch of the company’s new “Be” People Brand and brand pillars to empower associates to become the best version of themselves.
This year’s “Road To Give”, 26 Marriott Bonvoy’s Portfolio of Hotels and Resorts in Bali will join forces to raise funds for Scholars of Sustenance (S.O.S) to support their approach to food waste distribution, tackling food deficit issues and providing good nutrition to the impoverished. Furthermore, through this charity event, the funds raised will support Marriott International’s associates who were affected by the devastating fires in Maui, Hawaii.
Kemaryani Anom, Director of Human Resources of Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort and Chairman of ‘Road To Give Bali 2023’ says, “We are thrilled to hold this yearly event by encouraging our associates and the public to carry out several movements in different ways to support local organizations in our community following one of the company’s core values, which is ‘Serve Our World’”.
She also added, “In this year’s event, we will be contributing to Scholars of Sustenance – a local organization that focuses on reducing food waste by collecting nutritious surplus food from restaurants across Bali and redistributing to those in need.”
Registration is priced at IDR 150,000 per person. As part of the registration package, participants will receive a ‘Road To Give 2023’ jersey, access to a Zumba session, a Fun 5K Run, Donations, Door Prizes, and Medals (for the first 100 finishers). ‘Road To Give Bali 2023’ expects to gather more than 4,000 Marriott International associates, affiliates, and athletes from the island.
