PERANAKAN CUISINE AT BAI YUN, THE APURVA KEMPINSKI BALI
As part of its 2023 movement ‘Powerful Indonesia’, The Apurva Kempinski Bali’s signature Chinese restaurant Bai Yun brings the flavours of Peranakan cuisine to its signature hot pot experience. ‘Kuah Ikan Lada Hitam’, a special hot pot soup base that is inspired by Malaysian peranakan flavours, is introduced to guests in the months of February and March. Available at IDR 688,000++ per person from 16:00 to 22:30 daily, the peranakan cuisine is known to combine Chinese herbs and the traditional herbs of the Southeast Asia region. At Bai Yun, a line of peranakan flavours that is set to represent Malaysian, Indonesian, Singaporean and Thailand peranakan style has been prepared throughout the year.
After the Malaysian peranakan hot pot soup base in February and March, Bai Yun will continue introducing the peranakan cuisine through the Indonesian peranakan in April to June, Singaporean peranakan in July to September, and Thailand peranakan cuisine in October to December.
