What is the most memorable achievement in your career at hospitality industry?
I must admit, I think the biggest achievement that I’m proud of in my hospitality career is when I achieved the highest total hotel revenue in 2018 for The Stones – Legian, Bali since the hotel opened.
How do you cope with so many competitions in Bali these days? What is your hotel doing to stay competitive?
First rule is of course to be easy to do business with – flexibility. Second, in Renaissance we believe every stay in Renaissance is an opportunity to discover something wonderfully new. Our guests have an appetite for the curious, unique, and local experiences that help them understand the soul of a neighborhood. Through expert, personalized concierge service from our Navigator, we will make sure our guests celebrate the culture, ideas and people and also to discover the best local things to savor, shop, sip and see.
What do you think your strongest personal quality is?
My biggest strength is I’m a very structured person and I’m the biggest believer of 2 ways communications.
When you’re at work, what puts a smile on your face?
I love surprises (who doesn’t?) and small surprises from my team will definitely put a smile on my face because it tells me that I am no longer a stranger but a family.
What is the best compliment you’ve ever received?
The best compliment is when someone told me that they want to work with me because they think I’m a great leader and can be their guardian.
Can you share tips for women who would like to follow the same career path?
I believe life balance is important, spare sometime for yourself and enjoying your “me time”. That’s important because believe it or not, it will make you happier, stay motivated and excited.
