Located in the tranquil Hanoman Street, Petani Restaurant is a casual dining restaurant run by Alaya Resort Ubud. It is a calm and convenient dining venue with vintage rustic decoration, heavily influenced by Indonesian traditional elements.

Petani Restaurant offers their guest a generous selection of favorable Indonesian dishes, served in an authentic way. For a starter, try their grilled Jimbaran bay tuna, which as the name implies, is a portion of grilled fresh tuna meat glazed with Kintamani lime and soya sauce. Crisp on the outside and moist in the inside, the tuna steak was served along with delicious mashed purple cassava. The satay mix could be your next choice. The Indonesian traditional ‘meat-on-stick’ is precisely grilled with sweet, sour and chili spices, served along with three different sauces. The main menu of the feast is called nasi raja, a form of mini-rijstaffel once presented only to the royals of Ubud Kingdom and their personal guests. Petani Restaurant’s nasi raja consists of yellow rice pork curry, crispy prawns, smoked chicken, sate lilit (Balinese fish satay).
