Inspired by Batik Day that we commemorate on October 2nd, a great occasion that Batik is recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of Indonesia’s cultural heritage. Merusaka Nusa Dua is proud to present the Wastra Wonderland event, which will be held on October 28thand 29th, 2023.
It will be a captivating weekend that celebrates Indonesia’s vibrant cultural heritage through textiles and fashions while enjoying a food festival and fun activities at the beachfront greenery garden.
Wastra, Indonesia’s traditional textiles which are more than just fabrics, they are tapestries woven with stories of heritage, identity, and artistic excellence. Discover the incredible diversity of fabrics including renowned batik, as well as Endek from Bali and Tenun from other regions of Indonesia in the exhibition during these two days of event. Learn the intricate art of creating Endek or Gringsing, traditional fabrics as cultural heritage of Bali. Continue the journey to the stage of the fashion show competition featuring the timeless beauty of Wastra clothes. This competition showcases the gorgeous artistry of the fabrics turned into beautiful contemporary fashion.
