Could you please tell us a little about yourself?
Mixed nationality, European and North American, made in Bali hence the name: Sayan (Named after the neighbouring village of Ubud)
How would you describe Waterbom in one sentence?
A botanic, boutique waterpark that exists to make people happy in the most sustainable way possible.
What can people in business expect from you?
Quality orientated, innovative in thought, environment as a priority and down to earth straightforward truth.
If you could pick one place to be your dream destination anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
This is a very tough question. I have a mood board on my wall with many of my dream destinations posted. There are too many destinations I would love to visit and even potentially experience as a place to reside in. As circumstances change and as life moves my dream destinations always realigns itself. Recently I have been thinking about the Caribbean, South America and most recently Africa. I would love to visit Zambia and Namibia soon. Lastly Indonesia is always on my mind, would love to explore more of this ever so diverse archipelago.
Share with us the most memorable moment that has ever happened during your career
Having my team do a beautiful presentation on our eco initiatives to make Waterbom Bali the most sustainable park in the world. It tells me the culture we instil is very much growing in the right direction.
What is your biggest weakness?
Patience. I need to learn that if something doesn’t happen as planned and is beyond any scope of control… I just need to let it go…. Especially working on island coconut time.
Describe yourself in 3 words.
Curious, eternally grateful, Roots
What do you do for fun during your day off?
Immerse myself in Nature, surround myself with those close to the heart and always entertain myself by doing something different.
